P e a c e   T a l k s

Political affiliations aside, the men represented here have inspired hope for the possibility of real peace in our world and I have carefully chosen their quotations to illustrate that hope. Each component of “Peace Talks” weighs 16 pounds, consists of 10 layers of glass, 15.5” high, 12” wide and 6.5” deep, and involves techniques of photo-resist, sandblasting, decals and painting on fused glass layers.  There are two layers of glass in front of the quotations and an additional three layers in front of the portraits.  The base for each includes a nameplate and is an additional 4 pounds.  Both parts are fused in a kiln at 1500 degrees.
